Hmm, I was understanding ‘ex-philosopher’ as ‘ex-academic philosopher’ and I don’t think that precludes someone from being in some sense a philosopher — at least, someone who deals with ideas. Because there’s no generally accepted term for people like who are concerned with ideas, e.g. people who write a lot about the culture wars\politics without having an academic background, I sometimes spoke about them (which also includes the Chapo People) as philosophers. Maybe that was a bit misleading and I might change it.
